Adam Milstein has been passionate about promoting the Israeli agenda through the charity and activism programs the Milstein Family Foundation hosts. The aim of these programs has been to strengthen Israel’s place in the world and highlight the need for cooperation between them and the US. Adam and Gila Milstein aren’t just financially giving to Jewish philanthropies, they are involved in the grassroots level in all of them. His gifts to these groups including Hillel International, StandWithUs, AIPAC, Jerusalem U and Hasbara Fellowships earned him spots on the Jerusalem Post’s Top 50 Most Influential Jew’s, and Richtopia’s Top 200 Philanthropists. Included in these lists are names like Haim Saban, Lynn Schusterman, billionaires George Soros and Bill Gates, and even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Adam Milstein is Managing Partner at Los Angeles-based real estate broker company Hager Pacific Properties. He helped start this company a couple years after graduating with a master’s from USC and a couple years working as a real estate consultant. He currently helps manage properties in the millions of dollars across California, Texas and Illinois. The Milstein Family Foundation is supported by independent funds Milstein has earned while running this company.
Prior to becoming managing partner at this company or moving to the US, Adam Milstein worked in the construction business his father ran in Israel. Adam’s father Hillel Milstein was a first generation immigrant to Israel in the year it was announced as a sovereign state, and Adam was his firstborn son. Adam followed his father’s footsteps into real estate as well as military service, serving in the Israeli Defense forces from 1971 to 1974 and fighting under Ariel Sharon in the Yom Kippur War. Adam also attended the Technion where he received his bachelor’s degree in economics, and he also ran an art business on the side.
Adam met his wife Gila while still serving in the IDF and married her upon returning home. They have three daughters and grandchildren of their own now. The Milsteins have been working with their foundation and other educational groups to teach Jewish families ancient Jewish traditions including the Hebrew language. They started Sifriyat Pijama B’America which has stories and music in Hebrew.
